Papers In the Attic: The Simon Necronomicon GateWalker's Info Page

Greetings!

 

This is our fifth article in an ongoing series of discussions concerning GateWalking. It is now time to focus on a few more points that we have not mentioned in our previous articles concerning the subject at hand.

 

Earlier we discussed the purpose of the seven initiatory gates, as being a ritual where our consciousness goes through a transformation and we become Initiates into the Greater Mysteries. Now let us focus on the actual purpose for the initiation process and how we are transformed, for this is the key to a deeper understanding of the Gates themselves. The Simon Necronomicon mentions something very interesting in its Introduction that gives us a clue to the deeper aspects of the Gates. In the SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL TO 777, we read the following:

 

“THE CHART that follows is based on research presently available to the Editor with regard to Sumerian and Assyro-Babylonian religions. Entries in parentheses refer to the state of correspondences before the advert of the Elder Gods, the Race of MARDUK; that is, it reflects the nature of the cosmos before the Fall of MARDUK from Heaven. (Names of zodiacal constellations are after Budge’s renderings.)”

The chart that is discussed in the above quote appeared in our fourth article concerning the GateWalking Process entitled The OUTER SPHERES. Now we will look at the summary that appears before the “chart.” Interestingly, it mentions that the correspondences listed were before the ‘advert of the Elder Gods, the Race of MARDUK…it reflects the nature of the cosmos before the Fall of MARDUK from Heaven.’ The question that now presents itself would be, What is meant by the phrase the Race of MARDUK?

The Mad Arab speaks of ‘race’ in his Testimony. Notice what is said on page 6 of the Simon Necronomicon:

“I have traveled beneath the Seas, in search of the Palace of Our Master, and found the stone of monuments of vanquished civilisations, and deciphered the writings of some of these; while still others remain mysteries to any man who lives. And these civilisations were destroyed because of the knowledge contained in this book.”

This might give us some clues as to the origins of the Race of MARDUK. The Mad Arab speaks about vanquished civilizations having perished due to its workings of magick. The Mad Arab also mentioned that he traveled ‘beneath the seas’ when he discovered this perished society. This description seems to fit one such legendary society that perished thousands of years ago. The Theosophists, especially Madame Blavatsky, wrote of Atlantis as a lost continent which was sunk by the use of black magic, in such works as the Secret Doctrine. Could it be possible then that the knowledge in the Simon Necronomicon is from Ancient Atlantis? Let us notice another passage from the Simon Necronomicon on page 208:

“Beware of the Cults of Death, and these are the Cult of the Dog, the Cult of the Dragon, and the Cult of the Goat; for they are worshippers of the Ancient Ones, and forever try to let Them in, for they have a formulae of which it is unlawful to speak. And these cults are not strong, save at their seasons, when the heavens open up to them and unto their race. And there shall forever be War between us and the Race of Draconis, for the Race of Draconis was ever powerful in ancient times, when the first temples were built in MAGAN, and they drew down much strength from the stars, but now they are as Wanderers of the Wastelands, and dwell in caves and in deserts, and in all lonely places where they have set up stones. And these I have seen, in my journeys through those areas where the ancient cults once flourished, and where now there is only sadness and desolation.”

It would seem from this passage that the Race of Draconis is older than the Race of MARDUK. If we can find links between Atlantis and Draconis, it may give us some clarity as to what the Race of MARDUK really is.

We do know that the Simon Necronomicon throughout many of its passages speaks of the Ancient Ones. And on page 208, as quoted above the Race of Draconis, is also a sector of the Ancient Ones. It is interesting to note the words of Richard Laurence found in the Apocrypha of the Book of Enoch, which was translated by him in 1821:

“Yet Josephus, notwithstanding his constant efforts to give Israel unmerited glorification, by attributing the science (Wisdom) to the Jewish “Enoch”, shows the pillars as still existing during his time. He tells us that they were built by Seth; and so they may have been, only neither by the Patriarch of that name, the fabled son of Adam, nor by the Egyptian god of
Wisdom – Teth, Set, Thoth, Tat, Sat (the later Sat-an), or Hermes, who are ALL ONE, – but by the “sons of the Serpent-god”, or “Sons of the Dragon”, the name under which the Hierophants of Egypt and Babylon were known BEFORE THE DELUGE, as were their forefathers, the Atlanteans.”

Richard Laurence clearly indicates that the forerunners of the Mesopotamian Tradition were indeed the Atlanteans, which also confirms the words of the Mad Arab that has already been discussed. There is one other source that many learned scholars and those who are initiated look to for a source of wisdom about Atlantis- The Emerald Tablets.

The Emerald Tablets Russian Edition by Vladimir Antonov, Translated from Russian by Mikhail Nikolenko makes the following observation:

 

“In the Emerald Tablets, Thoth the Atlantean explains the reason for the destruction of Atlantis: confidential knowledge was imparted to unworthy people and the latter began using it for evil purposes. Also they adopted bloody sacrifices — and this resulted in numerous incarnations of hellish beings among people. When the destruction of Atlantis happened (two islands submerged into the ocean one after another according to the Divine Will), Thoth the Atlantean moved to Egypt (Khem) with a group of other Divine Atlanteans. The Primordial advised Thoth thus: “Go forth as a Teacher of men! Go forth preserving the records (with Teachings) until in time the Light grows among men!

 

“Light¹ shall You be all through the ages, hidden yet found by enlightened men. …For working on all the Earth, give We You power, free You to give it to others or take it away.”

 

And then Thoth worked as a Representative of the Primordial.

… Thoth relates that He went the entire Path to Mergence with the Primordial. He writes that anyone can traverse this Path. The Path necessarily contains obstacles, which create difficulties for travelers: these difficulties prevent the weak, ethically unworthy, or intellectually immature people from going further. “Go! But do not take with you the unwise, insincere, weak!” says Thoth.

Thoth gives basic recommendations for initial harmonization of the chakra system. For fulfilling just these recommendations He promises health and longevity.

 

On the higher stages of meditative practices one has to dive with the consciousness into the Depths of the multidimensional space and cognize there “star worlds” and the Light of the Great Fire on the Path to the Abode of the Primordial³. There are also other spatial dimensions, which are “vacant to all seeming, yet hidden within them are the keys…

Thoth also explains one of the higher meditations — the Temple and its particular variation — the Pyramid.

About the history of His own spiritual ascent Thoth says the following:

 

“Once in a time long forgotten, I, Thoth, opened the doorway, penetrated into other spaces and learned of the secrets concealed. Often did I journey down the dark pathway unto the space where the Light ever glows.

Long then dwelt I in the Temple of the Primordial until at last I was One with the Light.”

 

Here we see further that the Atlanteans were indeed the Ancient Ones. However, Richard Laurence made the statement in his summary of the Book of Enoch that the Babylonians and the Egyptians called themselves ‘Sons of the Dragon.’ This would seem to contradict some of the sentiments given in the Simon Necronomicon about avoiding the Ancient Ones. Let us then take a deeper look into the Simon Necronomicon to see if the information written about the Ancient Ones is indeed hiding some secret that may unravel one of the greatest mysteries concerning the GateWalking system. Does the Simon Necronomicon really speak against the Ancient Ones?

In the Introductory notes of the Simon Necronomicon there is much revealed about the work of Aleister Crowley. The Second Edition of the Simon Necronomicon even has a page dedicated to the one hundredth year since his birth. The name Crowley appears 39 times in the introduction. This is same number of times that the word ‘messiah’ appears in the Hebrew Scriptures.  It is even stated hat without the foundation that Crowley laid down, ‘the presentation of this book would be impossible.’ Yet we also find in the Introduction the following:

“He changed his name to Aleister Crowley while still at Cambridge, and by that name, plus “666″, he would never be long out of print, or out of newspapers. For he believed himself to be the incarnation of a god, an Ancient One, the vehicle of a New Age of Man’s history, the Aeon of Horus, displacing the old Age of Osiris. In 1904, he had received a message, from what Lovecraft might have called “out of space”, that contained the formula for a New World Order, a new system of philosophy, science, art and religion, but this New Order had to begin with the fundamental part, and common denominator, of all four: Magick.”

 

There is also a section in the Introductory notes of the Simon Necronomicon entitled, Worship of the Ancient Ones in History, where it states:

 

“This monster is well known to cult worship all over the world. In China, however, there is an interesting twist. Far from being considered a completely hostile creature, dedicated to the erasure of mankind from the page of existence, the Dragon is given a place of pre-eminence and one does not hear of a Chinese angel or saint striving to slay the dragon, but rather to cultivate it. The Chinese system of geomancy, feng shui (pronounced fung shway) is the science of understanding the “dragon currents” which exist beneath the earth, these same telluric energies that are distilled in such places as Chartres Cathedral in France, Glastonbury Tor in England, and the Ziggurats of Mesopotamia.”

 

If these were the currents that existed within the Ziggurats of Mesopotamia, then the Simon Necronomicon may just be a book that actually supports the workings of the Ancient Ones. Let us look at some comparing verses between what the Priests of Enki are instructed to do versus what is said of the Ancient Ones.

 

In the beginning of the Mad Arab’s Testimony we find the following words:

 

“Before that time, I must put down here all that I can concerning the horrors that stalk Without, and which lie in wait at the door of every man, for this is the ancient arcana that has been handed down of old, but which has been forgotten by all but a few men, the worshippers of the Ancient Ones (may their names be blotted out!).”

 

Although the Mad Arab mentions some conflicting statements about the ‘Ancient Ones’ –he makes a note here to mention that he must write out the ‘ancient arcana’, which many except the ‘worshipers of the Ancient Ones’ have forgotten. This means that what he is about to write is only found in the tradition of the Ancient Ones. However, it is within the URILLA TEXT that we find many clues as to the workings of the Ancient Ones. Notice what is said on page 201 in the Simon Necronomicon:

 

“And with these incantations, and with others, the sorcerers and the she-sorcerers call many things that harm of the life of man. And they fashion images out of wax, and out of flour and honey, and of all the metals, and burn them or otherwise destroy them….. And they cause plagues, for they summon PAZUZU. And they cause madness, for they call AZAGTHOTH. And these Spirits come upon the Wind, and some upon the Earth, crawling. And no oil, no powder, suffices to save a man from this inquity, save that exorcisms handed down and recited by the able Priest. And they work by the Moon, and not by the Sun, and by older planets than the Chaldaens were aware. And in cords, they tie knows, and each is a spell. And if these knots be found, they may be untied, and the cords burnt, and the spell shall be broken, as it is written:”

This a very revealing passage that unlocks some secrets about the Simon Necronomicon. First, we find that the Ancient Ones work by the Moon, yet the mad Arab states the following in his first Testimony, as found on page 13:

“In such a case, no recourse is to be had until the light of the moon shines upon the earth, for the moon is the eldest among the Zonei, and is the starry symbol of our Pact. NANNA, Father of the Gods, Remember!

Wherefore, the amulet must be engraved upon pure silver in the full light of the moon, that the moon shine upon it at its working, and the essence of the moon incantations must be performed, and the prescribed rituals as given forth in this Book. And the amulet must never be exposed to the light of the Sun, for SHAMMASH called UDU, in his jealousy, will rob the seal of its power. In such a case, it must be bathed in water of camphor, and the incantations and ritual performed once again. But, verily, it were better to engrave another.”

There are many other passages that instruct the Initiate of the Simon Necronomicon to work by the Moon. Notice what is mentioned on page 45 of the Simon Necronomicon:

“Second, on the Night of the Walking, which must be the thirteenth night of the moon, having begun on the previous thirteenth night, thou must approach the Gate with awe and respect. Thy Temple is exorcised. Thou must light the Fire and conjure it, but the invocation of the God of Fire, and pour incense thereon. Thou must make offering to the Deities on the altar.”

This is another passage that shows how the Initiate must work by the Moon like the Ancient Ones. Also mentioned in the URILLA TEXT is this aspect of the Ancient Ones workings:

“And they work by the Moon, and not by the Sun, and by older planets than the Chaldaens were aware.”

The above passage would definitely indicate that the GateWalking Process is the workings of the Ancient Ones since they worked by planets that the Chaldeans were not aware of. Notice what description is given to the Initiate about the Zonei, as found on page 19 of the Simon Necronomicon:

“The Chaldeans were but imperfect in their knowledge, although they had understanding of the Ladder, and certain of the formulae. They did not, however, possess the formulae for the passing of the Gates, save one, of whom it is forbidden to speak.”

It is also interesting to note that within this section of the Book, the Initiate is able to harness the power of the Stars (planets) Let us read a passage that appears prior to the one quoted above:

“THE GODS of the Stars are Seven. They have Seven Seals, each of which may be used in their turn. They are approached by Seven Gates, each of which may be opened in their turn. They have Seven Colours, Seven Essences, and each a separate Step on the Ladder of Lights. The Chaldeans were but imperfect in their knowledge, although they had understanding of the Ladder, and certain of the formulae. They did not, however, possess the formulae for the passing of the Gates, save one, of whom it is forbidden to speak.

The passing of the Gates gives the priest both power and wisdom to use it. He becomes able to control the affairs of his life more perfectly than before, and many have been content to merely pass the first three Gates and then sit down and go no further than that, enjoying the benefits that they have found on the preliminary spheres. But this is Evil, for they are not equipped to deal with the attack from Without that must surely come, and their people will cry unto them for safety, and it will not come forth. Therefore, set thy face towards the ultimate goal and strive ever onward to the furthest reaches of the stars, though it mean thine own death; for such a death is as a sacrifice to the Gods, and pleasing, that they will not forget their people.”

Here we are told not to only walk the Preliminary Spheres, which is from NANNA to ISHTAR, but to continue to the furthest reaches of the Stars. We are also told in later passages of the Simon Necronomicon, which we discussed  in our previous article entitled OUTER SPHERES, that the mad Arab instruct us to walk into the higher realms after we have faced ADAR. This can be found on page 48, yet we are told on page 208 the following:

“for the Race of Draconis was ever powerful in ancient times, when the first temples were built in MAGAN, and they drew down much strength from the stars, but now they are as Wanderers of the Wastelands”

However, the most obvious passage that appears in the Simon Necronomicon, giving way to the fact that the Initiate is indeed working with the rights of the Ancient Ones is given to us on page 212:

“And I have seen Rites that can kill a man at a great distance. And Rites that can cause sickness to a man, wherever he lives, by the use of a simple charm, which must be spoken in its tongue and in no other, or so it is said. And this charm is as follows:

AZAG galra sagbi mu unna te
NAMTAR galra zibi mu unna te
UTUK XUL gubi mu unna te
ALA XUL gabi mu unna te
GIDIM XUL ibbi mu unna te
GALLA XUL kadbi mu unna te
DINGIR XUL girbi mu unna te
I minabi-ene tashbi aba aba-andibbi-esh!

And this they would chant over a doll of wax as it was burning in their wicked cauldrons. And in these things they took great delight, and still do where they are to be found at their shrines of loathsomeness.”

Now compare this idea of using a wax doll with the instructions the Initiate is given on page 214:

“And if thou knowest the names of they who would harm thee, write them upon figures of wax, made in their image, upon which you will make the Curse and melt them in the cauldron you have set up within the MANDAL of protection. And the Watcher will carry the Curse to them for whom it was uttered. And they will die.

And if thou does not know of their names, nor of their persons, save that they seek to harm thee, make a doll of wax like a man, with his limbs, but with no face. And upon the face of the doll write the word KASHSHAPTI. Hold the doll over the flaming cauldron while saying fiercely over it:“

In our previous discussion, we were able to discover some deeper perspectives about the God Dumuzi and how he relates to the workings of the GateWalking. We also mentioned how the Gates passed SHAMMASH were representative of DUMUZI’S transformation as he took on the aspects of varying deities, such as NERGAL and MARDUK, thought it was mentioned that Nimrod might have been Dumuzi, we now find that Nimrod could have only been following a more ancient custom. Notice what is said about the following origin of the name (title) messiah-el, as defined for us in an article Christianity Unadorned:

“The star of Jacob or Judah, both being the same, is shown on astronomical maps as prominent in the constellation Virgo, the Virgin, called by the Hebrews, Ephraim. It was known in the Syrian, Arabian and Persian Systems of astronomy as Messaeil and was considered the ruling genius of the constellation. Messaeil is Messiah El (Son of God)—apparently the star, Spica. The star of Jacob was evidently a figure from astrology, in which the virgin is shown rising with an infant son of God in her arms.

The virgin, with her god-begotten child, the bright star, Spica, represented as an ear of corn (the meaning of the name of the star), was pictured in the heavens from time immemorial. They are present in the Hindu zodiac, at least three thousand years old, and in the ancient Egyptian one. Virgo commences rising at midnight, on the 25th of December, with this star in the east in her arms—the star which piloted the wise men.”

The above quote gives us an astrological meaning not only to the Christian Mythos, but this would also apply to the earlier legend of DUMUZI, as the comparisons between DUMUZI and the Christ are numerous, but would have to be examined in a future study, as our subject at hand is of another subject. It would also mean that the workings of the Sacred Marriage Rite were established by those who could draw down power from the stars, or the Ancient Ones. Evidently much is written about the Ancient Ones in the Simon Necronomicon, as we are initiated by them and given certain ordeals to overcome. This also explains a very important statement in the URILLA TEXT that is a valuable key to our discussion:

“The terrible offspring of the Ancient Ones may be summoned by the priest. These offspring may be called and adjured to perform what tasks the priest may deem necessary in his temple. They were begotten before all ages and dwelt in the blood of KINGU, and MARDUK could not altogether shut them out. And they dwell in our country, and alongside our generations, though they may not be seen. And this was taught by the priests of Babylon, who charged that these formulae may never be revealed to anyone who is not initiated into our ways, for to do so would be the most frightful error.”

Here we see that the offspring of the Ancient Ones dwelt in the blood of KINGU. Man is said to have been made from the blood of KINGU. It also mentions in the above passage that these workings are not to be shown to those who are ‘not initiated into our ways.’ This indicated that the URILLA TEXT will remain veiled to all those who have not passed the initial seven Gates, or find themselves still within the context of the seven gates. Once the Initiate has descended and then ascended back to earth, they may then proceed to the higher Gates of KIA, ENKI, ENLIL, and ANU, and also work with the URILLA TEXT. Interestingly the term URILLA is actually a conjunct of two terms, UR (soul) and ILLA (ascension)/ If the Initiate is still working within the bounds of the seven initiatory gates and tries to work with the URILLA, it will turn against him. Also the understanding of what the URILLA Text is will not be found while the Initiate is working within the seven initiatory gates. It will remain veiled to him.

Now that we have discovered that our ways of training is to be initiated into the ways of the Ancient Ones, other passages in the Simon Necronomicon begin to make sense. For example, we read in the MAGAN Text the following:

“First among the Elder Ones was he.
He split the sundered TIAMAT in twain
And fashioned the heavens and the earth,
With a Gate to keep the Ancient Ones Without.
With a Gate whose Key is hid forever
Save to the Sons of MARDUK
Save to the Followers of Our Master
ENKI”

The key to the mysteries of the Ancient Ones is given to the Priests of MARDUK once the have been fully initiated into ‘our ways.’

Another passage then becomes clearer that is also found in the MAGAN Text:

“For what is new
Came from that which is old
And what is old
Shall replace that which is new
And once again the Ancient Ones
Shall rule upon the face of the Earth!
And this is too the Covenant!”

This means that once we have reached the capsrone of the teachings, our lower self is raised up o meet our higher self and we are truly a new creation. The ancient aspect that exists within us, is united with our divine will and we are made whole again. The Simon Necronomicon on page 202 states the following:

“And a man may cry out, what have I don’t, and my generation that such evil shall befall me? And it mean nothing, save that a man, being born, is of sadness, for he is of the Blood of the Ancient Ones, but has the Spirit of the Elder Gods breathed into him. And his body goes to the Ancient Ones, but his mind is turned towards the Elder Gods, and this is the War which shall be always fought, unto the last generation of man; for the World is unnatural. When the Great KUTULU rises up and greets the Stars, then the War will be over, and the World be One.”

In view of the information that we have just considered, the statements made by Richard Laurence are indeed correct as the Ancient Babylonians and Egyptians Priests called themselves ‘Sons of the Dragon.’ This in no way conflicts with the Simon Necronomicon. Now that we have discovered that the Atlanteans were indeed preservers of the greater Mysteries and taught them to the peoples of Ancient Babylon and Egypt, let us look further to define just who the Race of MARDUK is.

It is said that THOTH the Atlantean left the dying Atlantis and set his eyes East to teach a savage people. He ventured forth into the area of the Nile Valley and taught a savage people civilization. It was because of his work that we find the pyramids and great temples of the ancient world still standing today. This was the development of the race of modern man, also known as the Aryan race, the fifth race, or the Race of MARDUK.

Wikipedia cites the following information under the topic Root Race:

“According to Blavatsky’s writings, there are seven root races assembled for our Earth, each root race is divided into seven subraces. The first root race was according to her “ethereal“; the second root race lived in Hyperborea. The third root race lived according to her in Lemuria and the fourth root race in Atlantis.

Blavatsky asserted humanity was presently in the fifth root race, the so-called Aryans, approximately one million years old. It overlapped the fourth root race, and the first beginnings of the fifth root race were approximately in the middle of the fourth root race. Generally speaking, all the people who live in the time of the period of the fifth root race are part of the fifth root race. However Blavatsky also claims that Semitic peoples have become “degenerate in spirituality” and asserts that some peoples are “semi-animal creatures”. These latter include “the Tasmanians, a portion of the Australians and a mountain tribe in China.” There are also “considerable numbers of the mixed Lemuro-Atlantean peoples produced by various crossings with such semi-human stocks — e.g., the wild men of Borneo, the Veddhas of Ceylon, classed by Prof. Flower among Aryans (!), most of the remaining Australians, Bushmen, Negritos, Andaman Islanders, etc”

Some scholars have scoffed at the findings of Madame Blavatsky, bu7t hese same scholars fail to realize that the Enuma Elish also gives us the story of these races up to the point of the Race of MARDUK, our present race. We will look at the version that is found in the Simon Necronomicon. in the MAGAN Text. Let us note what is written on page 154:

“Hearken, and Remember!
In the Name of ANU, Remember!
In the Name of ENLIL, Remember!
In the Name of ENKI, Remember!
When on High the Heavens had not been named,
The Earth had not been named,
And Naught existed but the Seas of ABSU,
The Ancient One,
And MUMMU TIAMAT, the Ancient One
Who bore them all,
Their Waters as One Water.
At this time, before the ELDER GODS had been brought forth,
Uncalled by Name,
Their destinies unknown and undetermined,
Then it was that the Gods were formed within the Ancient Ones.
LLMU and LLAAMU were brought forth and called by Name,
And for Ages they grew in age and bearing.
ANSHAR and KISHAR were brought forth,
And brought forth ANU
Who begat NUDIMMUD, Our Master ENKI,
Who has no rival among the Gods.
Remember!”

The gods that are listed in the belly of TIAMAT are indeed the races of man.

LLMU and LLAAMU would apply to the first ‘root race. They are known in ancient history as Lahmu and Lahamu. They have sometimes been defined as serpent, muddy, or hairy one.

ANSHAR and KISHAR would then be the second ‘root race.’

ANU the heavenly one would be the third ‘root race’ coming out of  Lemuria.

ENKI would represent the fourth race or the Atlantean race. It is interesting to not that the God THOTH, also finds his correspondence to mercury. In ancient Sumerian ENKI was also given the same correspondence. It was the Babylonians who attributed NEBO to mercury. THOTH is said to have civilized savage humanity. ENKI is said to have raised up MARDUK to battle the Dragon. This would men the ENKI taught and opened up schools of Magick to teach to the Race of MARDUK, which is the fifth race.

However, the information even get deeper when we look at the Emerald Tablets themselves and they do indeed bear so much resemblance to the Testimony of the Mad Arab.

Tablet 1 of the Emerald Tablets of THOTH the Atlantean, mentions the following:

“, THOTH, the Atlantean, master of mysteries,
keeper of records, mighty king, magician,
living from generation to generation,
being about to pass into the halls of Amenti,
set down for the guidance of
those that are to come after,
these records of the mighty wisdom of Great Atlantis.

In the great city of KEOR on the island of UNDAL,
in a time far past, I began this incarnation.
Not as the little men of the present age did
the mighty ones of Atlantis live and die,
but rather from aeon to aeon did they renew
their life in the Halls of Amenti where the river of life
flows eternally onward…..

Remember and heed my words,
for surely will I return again
and require of thee that which ye guard.
Aye, even from beyond time and
from beyond death will I return,
rewarding or punishing
as ye have requited your truest.”

This ‘renewal’ that is spoken of that took place in the halls of Amenti, is actually the system of GateWalking if one were to review the other Tablets. Yet the implications here given are amazing as THOTH states ‘that through this process one was able to become immortal’ and once the physical body died, at the adepts choice, the Priest/Priestess, can go on choosing another body. It is this science that we find preserved in the Simon Necronomicon. I will conclude this part of our discussion with the following words of the previous quoted Richard Laurence in 1821, from his summary of the Book of Enoch:

“Yet Josephus, notwithstanding his constant efforts to give Israel unmerited glorification, by attributing the science(Wisdom) to the Jewish “Enoch”, shows the pillars as still existing during his time. He tells us that they were built by Seth; and so they may have been, only neither by the Patriarch ofthat name, the fabled son of Adam, nor by the Egyptian god of
Wisdom – Teth, Set, Thoth, Tat, Sat (the later Sat-an), or Hermes, who are ALL ONE, – but by the “sons of the Serpent-god”,or “Sons of the Dragon”, the name under which the Hierophants of Egypt and Babylon were known BEFORE THE DELUGE, as were their forefathers, the Atlanteans”
