Spiritual Practices of the Necronomicon Tradition: The Morning Prayer and Meditation

meditation

I would like to welcome everyone to the GateWalker’s Info Page. if this is your first time here, please review some of our previous articles so that you may understand the content of our current discussion.

Dan Harms raised some interesting points about the the use of the Simon Necronomicon as a spiritual system during one of our recent debates. This question may also have crossed the minds of both avid readers of the GateWalkers’s Page, as well as, new practitioners of the Simon Necronomicon. Therefore, I though that it might be useful to list some of the spiritual practices of the Necronomicon Tradition for newcomers and the initiated.

Before we begin this discussion, it is necessary for me to state that there has been a lot of misinformation concerning the occult arts spreading throughout the internet and “new age “books as of late.  I am certain that the origin of this situation lies in the fact that many who attracted to the occult arts have misguided intent. Simon was aware of this problem as well. In the introduction of the Simon Necronomicon, under the subheading, The Devil, Simon makes the following observation:

“For, as it is said in one of man’s most ancient of Covenants, the Emerald Table, “As Above, So Below”. Man’s power to alter the nature of his environment must develop simultaneously with his ability to master his inner environment, his own mind his psyche, soul, spirit. Perhaps, then, the lunar landing was the first collective initiation for humanity, which will bring it one step closer to a beneficial Force that resides beyond the race of the “cruel celestial spirits”, past the Abyss of Knowledge. Yet, he must remember that the occult powers that accompany magickal attainment are ornamental only, indications of obstacles overcome on the Path to Perfection, and are not to be sought after in themselves, for therein lies the truth Death.”

It is very sad to see that most people involved in the occult arts are not aware of the theme of the Greater Mysteries and wind up hurting themselves in the process of “dabbling” and joining occult orders whose sole purpose is bent on seeing some sort of “miraculous” things occur just because a ritual is performed. The evidence of supernatural phenomena and how it enters your experience is not the goal of the Greater Mysteries, but perfection of self is. There is no value in ritual if  one has no relationship with the deity that is being called.  The purpose of occult initiations is to open up a relationship with the entities that one will use in their occult practice. The idea that some entity, which is over 2,000 years old is going to help someone who is under four decades old just because they can read a passage out of a book is simply stupid. This is why the Simon Necronomicon includes a path of self-initiation.  It is a complete system.

The next hangup that many have in the occult community is the use of money to acquire books or to pay dues to a credible occult organization.  One has to be careful because there are a lot of scams out there. Do your research and check references before aligning with any group, whether it is free to join, or there are membership fees. Membership fees are often used by serious occult organizations to screen out the mere curious from those who are serious about the Greater Mysteries. This principle also applies to the spiritual world as well. Every deity requires some sort of sacrifice, whether its prayerful devotion, bread, or etc. If the said occult organization is an actual physical manifestation of a spiritual one then they have every right to imitate their ruling deity’s action by charging membership fees. Time is money and if a person doesn’t see the need to reimburse someone who as taken their own time to help someone understand a valuable practice, it just further proof that selfish people still exist in the world. While people may believe that they can escape their actions, it must be understood that regardless if a person is walking a dark or light path, success in the occult world lies entirely of virtue. If you are looking for a reputable “occult organization”  where you can really gain some good insight into the Greater Mysteries then look into The Temple of the Vampire. Now let us begin to look at some spiritual practices of the Necronomicon Tradition

Morning Prayer

There are many prayers listed in the Simon Necronomicon, sometimes they are called “incantations. However, there is one prayer that is specifically to be done during the day. The best time for it is when we awaken in the morning. It is mentioned in the beginning of the Second Testimony of the Mad Arab:

“UR! NIPPUR!
ERIDU! KULLAH!
 KESH! LAGASH!
SHURUPPAL SELAH!

Day of Living, Rising Sun
Day of Plenty, gracious Sun
Day of Perfect, Grand Delight
Day of Fortune, Brilliant Night
O Shining Day!
O Laughing Day!
O Day of Life, and Love and Luck!
Seven Oldest, Wisest Ones!
Seven Sacred, Learned Ones!
Be my Guardians, polished Swords
Be my Watchful, patient Lords
Protect me from the Rabishu
O Shining, Splendorous APHKALLHU
!”

This is the Morning Prayer of the Necronomicon Tradition. It is a way of acknoledging and thank the Gate deities for another day and a reminder of our relationship with them. This is not something made up in the mind of Simon, but it is an actual ancient Mesopotamian prayer. If we look further into the APHKALLHU we can get a sense that this is a protective prayer.

The term APHKALLHU derives from the term Apkallu, which Wikipedia gives the following definition:

“The Abgal, (Akkadian: Apkallu) are seven Sumerian demigods said to have been created by the god Enki (Akkadian: Ea) to give civilization to mankind. They served as priests of Enki and as advisors or sages to the earliest “kings” or rulers of Sumeria before the flood. They are credited with giving mankind the me (moral code), the crafts, and the arts. They were seen as fish-like men who emerged from the sweet water Apsu. They are commonly represented as having the lower torso of a fish, or dressed as a fish. They have also been depicted with wings, having either a human head or an eagle’s head.[1]

Adapa (U-an, Oannes) was the first of the Apkallu. The others were U-an-dugga, En-me-duga, En-me-galanna, En-me-buluga, An-enlilda, and Utu-abzu.”

This prayer works very well for protection and prosperity and should be recited twice a day. There are more spiritual practice that are given to us in the Second Testimony of the Mad Arab:

“and the Priest must calm them and take this book, of which he must make a copy in his own,..”

This is also emphasized in the Magan Text:

“I copied these words down in my tongue and kept them faithfully these many years, and my own copy will go with me to the place where I will go..”

It is here that we find one of the most important practices of the Necronomicon Path-Meditation. Before we go ahead any further it is necessary for us to a clear understanding about what meditation really means as it has been often misunderstood in the Western World. The etymology of the term meditation is as follows:

“The word meditation comes from the Indo-European root med-, meaning “to measure.”[1][2] It entered English as meditation through the Latin meditatio, which originally indicated any type of physical or intellectual exercise, then later evolved into the more specific meaning “contemplation.”

It is with this understanding of the etymology that we are able to look deeper into the term meditation. There are many ‘new age” groups that will emphasize that meditation is a practice wherein the practitioner goal is to empty the mind, but this is not the meaning of the term amongst serious student of the occult and Eastern mysticism, as found in Taoism and etc. In the East, meditation was always considered an activity. It was strongly believed that if a person left the mind empty it could allow negative forces to enter. It is with this understanding that meditative practices were formed, such s the Tea Ceremony and Chinese caligraphy. Thus, the Mad Arab’ made it a requirement  each Initiate copied the text over in their own hand, which is also a meditative exercise that is just as important as the GateWalking rituals of self-initiation.

Summoning Part 2: Methods of Perception and Communication

During the last decade, a little known but very powerful renaissance has been going on within the occult community as a whole, and specifically within the realms of ritual and ceremonial magic. Ten years ago it was very difficult to find a quality book on spirit summoning that went into any kind of useful detail on the subject. Donald Michael Kraig, author of one of the few books that outlined summoning – the CM classic “Modern Magick” – relates how in his own journey to understand and practice evocation he ran up against a lot of ignorance on the subject. Evocation was alternately seen as dangerous, difficult, highly advanced work, immoral, a work of psychic masturbation, and any number of other labels that served to mystify and confound the subject for anyone who wanted to study AND practice it seriously.

During the last several years, it was my pleasure to obtain a number of new and re-released books on the subject by several highly qualified (and occasionally not-so-qualified) authors across the occult spectrum. With the growth and popularization of the Internet, especially the web-groups and blog platforms, information about the occult is spreading and exploding at an exponential rate. If there were any doubts in your mind whether we’ve come to a New Age, put them to rest – the Age of Aquarius has arrived!

What’s been so exciting about utilizing the Internet to study magic is the ability to chat and post back and forth with the very same authors whose books you are reading. Practitioners (and not just armchair theorists, though they are always welcome) are sharing their experiences and findings with each other and inspiring a whole new generation of priests and magicians. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to practice summoning in depth join up with one of the better web-groups on Yahoo such as Aaron Leitch’s Solomonic magick group or Joseph Peterson’s Mosaic magick group. I myself have a group on Yahoo for the study of the Lesser Key of Solomon (the Lemegeton): http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lemegeton

And of course there are groups dedicated solely to Nec-related magick as well, such as the Order of the Necronomicon Disciples of Enki

What you will find if you study this subject in depth is that there are a number of different ways to perceive, call, and communicate with spirits, ranging from the most elaborate ceremonies to the most casual conversations. I would say that the two biggest factors you will find at work in who uses what method is the spiritual/magical background of the practitioner (Wiccan, CM, Chaoist, etc) and their natural paranormal abilities, which includes traditional psychic vision but is not limited to it in any regards.

Some people will swear by a certain way of doing things, but it will not be fruitful for others to go about it in the same fashion. Sadly, a lot of the occult community is still trying to break out of the entrenched patterns that were established by the Golden Dawn over a hundred years ago. These prejudices have proven to be as frustrating for working-class Wiccans as much as for, say, practitioners of Enochiana.

Remember that in previous articles I explained that many people get stuck in the Lesser mysteries and can spend a lifetime there without growing to a new level of gnosis. One of the flags for the “babes in Christ”, as I like to call them, is that they get very rigid about doing things the way they were taught to them originally. They tend to take what was taught as ineffable gospel truth until they learn to think – and more importantly, experiment – for themselves.

Even in the supposedly enlightened occult community, there are large numbers of people who get very dogmatic about things, and summoning hasn’t escaped this reach. There are several folks out there claiming to have (re)discovered the “one, true way” of summoning spirits in the classical and “authentic” manner. Such authors should be taken with a grain of salt, because its very evident if you talk to people on the groups that there are plenty of roads to Rome and that lots of people using lots of methods from different background are all getting results and getting excited about the possibilities of magic.

Here is a hopefully lengthy, but not exhaustive, list of techniques and practices related to summoning. You may choose to incorporate and combine any number of them in your own practice, but don’t be haphazard about it. Remember that even the left hand paths demand that you break the rules deliberately and decisively and don’t equate liberty with recklessness.

*Drugs – Lets face it, drugs have been a huge part of human culture, religion, and magic since the beginning. They are a very quick and easy way to wire yourself into the spirit world and they do wonders for many people, but can also be problematic. The biggest issue with drugs is that they used to be used, for the most part, in a religious context with a reverance and respect that is often lacking in the modern world. Modern drugs have created so many problems, IMHO, because they are both synthesized too many steps from their natural state and they are used with a careless and dangerous attitude. Each drug is overseen by a particular class of spirits and these spirits must be respected when you use the drug to unlock its full potential. Also, different drugs work on very different parts of the brain and body; some take a person back into their evolutionary past and others can place a person ahead of their time (FAR ahead). KNOW YOUR DRUGS when you use them and remember that a little goes a long way!

*Inhibitory trance – The Chaoists have outlined two main forms of trance accessible through subjecting the body to unusual amounts of stress, and this is the first. Sleep deprivation, fasting, and even vegetarian diet can fall into this class. What I have found with these techniques is that they require a lot of practice and discipline to use effectively – they will not necessarily produce results in themselves. Depriving yourself of sleep in the hopes of seeing the spirits more clearly usually doesn’t work in my experience. Lucid dreams present wonderful opportunities but require that you still allow natural sleep to occur in tandem with your practices – else they quickly become unhealthy in excess. The biggest problem with these techniques is that they are often, sadly, an outlet for a very subtle form of spiritual masochism. This goes back to the monks of the middle ages who used to flagellate themselves in hopes of beating the sin out of their bodies and growing closer to God. You might be amazed how much this still goes on in the modern occult community – people starve themselves of sleep, sex, food, and any number of other natural necessities in hopes they can sacrifice their way to success.

*Excitatory tranceOh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah! Nothing is true, everything is permitted! Indulge those desires to the extreme, and flood your senses with so much wholesome goodness that you see God! WOOHOO!

Eh, its not always that simple, and this class of techniques presents the opposite problem as inhibitory techniques. People can get so caught up in satisfying their pleasures they forget that they were pursuing something extra-sensual as well. The spirits, especially those hungry for energy, love to participate in rites involving these techniques, and they can get results very quickly. What is important here is to make sure you are not using the trance goal as an excuse for doing something you would not otherwise allow yourself to enjoy. Go enjoy your body outside of ritual too – don’t feel like ritual is your only outlet for getting the pleasure that is essential to life and happiness.

*Ritual Ceremonies - Everything has to look FABULOUS for the spirits to show up! Did you get all your correspondences correct? Is everything set up perfectly in your $1000 customized temple? Are you using the astrological timing that only emerges once in a thousand years, and did you set your clock correctly to account for daylight savings? Did you obtain the lion skin and the virgin thread properly? It has to be perfect or they won’t show up! Ahhh!!!

No, this is soooo not the case. It has frequently been observed by myself and my magical colleagues that the spirits will show up way before the “official” rituals even get started, and sadly have to sit around and wait patiently while some CM makes sure he crosses all his Taus and dots all his Pentagrams.

Nonetheless, there is nothing quite as stirring as a good ceremony. Wanna know the secret? KEEP IT REAL! Be honest and brave and always authentic when you step up to perform rituals – NEVER GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS BLANDLY.

*Scrying - I am gazing into my crystal ball… gazing…gazing…my eyes are starting to hurt and I don’t know what exactly it is I’m seeing…

First of all, scrying can be used with many different kinds of media. The crystal ball is of course classic and powerful because of its deep associations, history, and the nature of spherical balls of piezoelectric quartz crystal. However, the ancients employed many other kinds of surfaces, including oil, fire, marble, and water. Donald Tyson’s book on Scrying goes into these practices in more detail if any of you are interested.

I actually used to scrye into the faux-marble surface of my shower lining when I was a kid, and I still tend to do it unconsciously when I come across a similar kind of surface. I have also scried into such weird surfaces as the mud that has splattered onto bus windows (it looks remarkably like Los Angeles). My point is that you can scrye through any surface that is composed of seemingly random arrangements of line, shape, and pattern. Experiment with different media both to save money and to increase the versatility of your gifts.

The second thing about scrying is that you shouldn’t limit yourself to only your eyeballs, in either a mundane or astral sense. Allow and integrate the psychic equivalents of your other four senses as well. This is especially important because not everyone is wired to perceive things through a mainly visual medium. Many people are much more auditory than visual and could have as much luck scrying through radio static as they could through a crystal ball. As Don Juan Matus told Carlos Castaneda in “A Seperate Reality”, there is a difference between looking and really SEEING, and Seeing (the original meaning of scrying) is not limited to just your eyes and their astral counterparts.

When scrying, it is important to relax and just let your gaze flow through the medium and off into the distance. Do not strain your eyes and try to force yourself to see something. Allow light to bend and refract through the medium naturally. Adjust the amount of light so that you are comfortable – you don’t want too much or too little. Also, the use of drugs or incense can powerfully boost your abilities in this practice, because they will turn off the psychic filter of your mental chatter and turn ON the circuit of the spirit or information you are trying to perceive. Use classic correspondence guides and Timothy Leary’s Circuits Model of Consciousness to help determine which drugs and/or incense are ideal to your purpose at hand.

*Drift/DeriveOn the road again… I can’t wait to get on the road again… walking out of my mind again…

This technique of walking into another dimension under or overlaying a mundane landscape is a favorite of chaos magi. I’ve put it to excellent use myself. Stephen Grasso wrote a great article about it for Jason Louv’s magical compendium “Generation Hex”. It allows you to enter the Dreaming at almost anytime by utilizing a very traditional and shamanic approach to exploration and travel.

The only thing I would advise with this method is to make DAMN sure you are clear about when you have entered and when you are leaving Dreamspace. Mark it ritually in some way or another, or you could very well never come back again. Neil Gaiman’s classic novel “Neverwhere” is, to a great degree, about the wonders and dangers a man experiences when he falls into the Dreamscape of “London Below”. There is a similar story in the Sandman anthology “World’s End” about a man who takes regular walks through a city, and one day accidently stumbles into its astral counterpart. Sadly, there are many homeless folk out there that are still living in these alternate realities and have yet to return to concensus with the rest of us.

These are just a few examples of popular modes of perception through which you can perceive and communicate with spirits you have summoned. In addition to Tyson’s book on Scrying, my friend and fellow Abramelin grad Athena Nightshade has a popular online course on scrying and other spiritual perception for those who are interested. Shinto Religion Older Than Babylonian Religion!

Greetings!

I would like to welcome everyone here to the Simon Necronomicon GateWalker’s Page. If this is your first time here, I do ask that you review some of our previous articles in our menu section first. This will help you to understand where we are in our current discussion.

I am sure this article will spark some controversy among people in the occult community. However, I am also aware that many people in the occult community are still trying to perfect themselves and the mystical arts that they use.

The origin of this article came from a recent observation that I made based on certain experiences in the GateWalking Community. Let me first state that until the Initiate completes the rites in the Urilla Text, they cannot wholly understand the Necronomicon Tradition. During the Sign of Leo 2009, a few GateWalkers who passed the preliminary rites of Walking the Seven Gates, plus the Gates of Ninhursag, Enki, Enlil, and Anu, were told to do the Invocation of the Ancient One, that appears in the opening pages of the Urilla Text, which is found on pages 184 through 185. This incantation is derived from The Rite of the Bornless One.  The purpose of this working is to complete the Sacred Marriage Rite, where the Initiate and the Watcher become one. It is a very serious Rite and can only effectively be performed after the 11 Gates have been Walked. I gave the assignment of this working to three of my students and an experienced GateWalker, as well as, myself. iImust say that the experience was extremely supernatural. All of us had experiences that were beyond the veils of the physical world. The second thing that I noticed is that all the Initiates involved in this rite had experienced an increase ability to access their astral powers and for the most part, the astral body ruled their physical being. I must say that throughout my observations, the Initiated who were involved in the working did not communicate to each other, as I was the link between them and they did not know each other, yet we were all experiencing the same things. There is one thing though that I found very strange. Most of the people who performed this rite somehow came into contact with deities indigenous to Japan. One Initiate began studying Japanese martial arts, Shugendo. I began with Ninjitsu, and etc. I also decided to get in tune with the Japan’s indigenous spiritual practices better known as Shintoism.

I recently began to wonder,  why after completing the Sacred Marriage Rite were many of the Initiates leaning towards the Japanese culture? This caused me to investigate certain theories that are presented throughout the world in regards to Sumeria.

Sumeria is described as the cradle of civilization and the civilization where it all began. Yet everyone must ask themselves is this really true? Let us first look at how the modern world discovered the Sumerian Civilization..

Although there is much that can be found about Sumeria today, the discovery of this civilization is  a recent one.  The first major excavations leading to the discovery of Sumeria were conducted (1842-1854) at Assyrian sites such as Nineveh, Dur Shamukin, and Calah by the French archaeologists Paul Emile Botta and Victor Place; the British archaeologists Sir Austin Henry Layard and Sir Henry C. Rawlinson and the Irish clergyman Edward Hincks made a study of the inscriptions, however, and discovered that some were in a non-Semitic language. In 1869 the French archaeologist, Julius Oppert suggested that the name Sumerian, from the royal title King of Sumer and Akkad, appearing in many inscriptions, be applied to the language.

Samuel Noah Kramer the infamous Sumerianologist, who was involved in the process of translating numerous Sumerian texts, often found many stories that were similar to Biblical mythologies. It was this principle that fueled the research into Ancient Mesopotamia, especially in regards to the Gilgamesh Epics, for the first time the modern world assumed that it had found references to support the Biblical flood account in the Legend of Utnapishtim.

How Sumeria was discovered in the modern world weighs heavily into our discussion about Sumeria as the first civilization on Earth. First, it is very important for the occultist to understand that most of the research and excavation that have been done are by followers of the three main Abrahamic faiths namely, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It is interesting to note that on a purely religious level, all adherents to these three different religions, religiously believe that the origin of man is in Ancient Mesopotamia. So I find it quite ironic that the same archaeologists who happen to be adherents to either one of these three religions have NOT presented anything different from what their scriptural fantasies have theorized. I must also remind the reader that during the time of the excavations that lead to the discovery of Sumeria, the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic Faiths were strongly followed by those that professed them, especially in Europe and America. What this boils down to is that what these archaeologists have discovered in the past century, is in support of Western religious thought. Therefore, the Initiate into the Greater Mysteries must do his own research with the help of his/her guides to piece together the history of the world. This is why you will notice how most discoveries will NOT go beyond the year 5,000 BCE, even though scientist have discovered human fossils dating tens of thousands of years ago in Africa. Discoveries such as this is swept underneath the rug since they conflict, or would upset the layman’s religious dedication, which in turn would affect their political dedication, and then cause a spirit of unrest. So while it is acknowledged that there are human fossils in Africa that are older that any Sumerian writing,  it is just swept underneath the rug so that Biblical theories stay in tact. What is also interesting is that the Yoruba Pantheon is identical to the Sumerian, even its creation story. If Sumerian Reconstructionists really want to re-piece the Sumerian Tradition, they must study the Yoruban system of spirituality, as well as , other indigenous system. This leads us to the discovery that the Shinto spiritual system is older than the Babylonian.

H.P. Lovecraft in his story The Call of Cthulhu describes a godlike being called Cthulhu who dwells in the Sunken City of R’lyeh R’lyeh “>that is located somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. The energies in the Urilla Text we are told by Simon are similar to Lovecraft’s R’lyeh Text. This may explain why the initiates who performed the Urilla Text working started to be drawn to forms of spirituality that were accustomed to people living in the area of the Pacific Ocean. Yet there is another point to make here in view of our topic, while Lovecraft’s location of the R’lyeh City may have been exaggerated,  he was correct in identifying a Sunken City that lies in the Pacific Ocean.

National Geographic News reported in September 2007 pyramid structures lying just below the waters of Japan at Yonaguni Jima.  The condition of this ancient city is said to have been caused by an earthquake over 2, 000 years ago. However, many researchers in the field claim that this “Sunken City” is anywhere from five to ten thousand years old. This presents  ”>quite a problem for our Jewish, Christian, and Islamic scholars who can’t get past their religious beliefs and show the truth about their archaeological discoveries. Here’s the problem: If  Sumeria is the first civilization on the face of this Earth and is dated only 5,000 years ago; How is it then that another civilization, found in Japan, was built at the same time Sumeria was found? Wouldn’t common sense dictate that it would take a few centuries to move from Sumeria to the region of Japan?

Earlier in our discussion we spoke about how archaeologists discovered another civilization that predated Babylon, Sumeria. See what I didn’t mention then was that these archaeologists knew about Babylon and were seeking to find further evidence of the Bible’s validity, yet the Bible doesn’t mention the Sumerians, but it does mention the ‘Sons of God’ taking the Daughters of Men.” So the idea of a “black-headed people” existing prior to Babylon was unknown to Western people. It was actually Samuel Noah Kramer who explored the Sumerian histories even further and thanks to him, we have the volumes of work that we do today. If it were up to the Christian and Islamic archaeologists, they would have just let the matter sit and sweep everything underneath the rug, which is actually what they did, until Kramer pursued the efforts to translate the text, since his beliefs  were more liberal than his religious upbringing. Yet deceit in the discovery of Japan’s antiquity is also being swept under the rug.  Leader of the stupidity pack is Robert Schoch who claims that the structures found off of Japan’s Coast are not man-made but natural. japaneseatlantis6japanese atlantisjapaneseatlantis3japaneseatlantis4

Just one look at these photos one can easily see that Doctor Schoch blew it, but once again this is what happens when you ask a ”Christian” mind to check ancient artifacts.  Let’s face it- as Pagans we are well aware that most of the history that originated among the Christian Nations is a lie. Columbus didn’t discover America, the Native Americans did, so why doesn’t this Christian Nation honor their history of coming to America? We teach our children that Gutenburg invented the printing press although China had used advance technologies for printing centuries before Gutenberg ever lived. Let’s face it Christian and Islamic Nations have a problem with accepting historical fact that honour indigenous people or differ from their religious belief. Interestingly, Samuel Noah Kramer was chased out of the Arab World due to what he discovered in the Sumerian writings and how it conflicted with Islamic beliefs. Samuel Noah Kramer is who the fictional character Indiana Jones is based on.

Pre-Sumerian Civilization

Samuel Noah Kramer asserts that the Sumerian people, who called themselves the “black-headed people,” were a Nomadic people who moved about. Where they came from is not really known-yet. However, many anthropologist are able to trace some of their roots to the Tamil people due to similarities in language. Yet this shows that the Sumerians probably traveled westwards after establishing colonies in  China, India, and etc, after leaving a collapsed civilization that was in the Pacific Ocean.  Interestingly, Japan holds that its country was founded by the Anu People. This reinforces some of the origins of true Japanese history. It is clear that Japan’s history exceeds its written history by thousands of years. The written history of Japan at about 400 BC, but this is not completely accurate either. It seems that there were some political struggles of  different ethnic peoples within “prehistoric” Japan. We know this to be the case because pottery has been unearthed  from the Joman Period which is dated about 14,000 years old. Thats about 10,000 years older than when archaeologists say the Sumerian Civilization started. We also know that there were internal struggles between different ethnic groups in Japan’s history because first Shogun Sakanouye Tamura Maro was a Black man, which means that there was also an African presence prior to Japan’s modern history.  It seems that Japan may have been a safe haven for persecuted  ”>religious groups such as the Taoists, and different forms of African divination, as well as, Buddhism. Although, Buddhism originated in India and was brought to China then and then Japan.there are certain aspects of Buddhism and Taoism that may have originated in China, but are only preserved in Japan, such as the Tea Ceremony. It is in consideration of all these facts that we can ascertain that the Shinto Religion is one of the oldest in the world if not the oldest. Written history may differ, but it does stand to reason that since there was a culture that existed in Japan that is thousands of years older than the Mesopotamian culture, it must also be a correct assumption that this same culture had a system of spirituality, which is apparently Shinto. This is why there is no accredited founder of the Shinto Religion, or a said Shinto scripture. The origin of this religion and its beginning were evidently wiped out during various stages of religious persecution, or held in secret among the people indigenous to Japan. However, there is one more cause that plays a vital role in our identification of Shintoism as the oldest religion in the world and that is a comparative analysis of the Shinto Kami with the Sumerian and Babylonian deities.

It is widely known that in prehistoric times Mother-Son worship flourished throughout the ancient world. Major deities were honored as feminine and the minor deities were depicted as male. This is the most ancient concept of religious worship. Keeping this in mind we can appreciate that the Shinto religion is the purest form of prehistoric religion because Amaterasu Omikami is one of the very few solar deities that is represented as a goddess. This is a very important aspect that occultist should be aware of. In prehistoric times, when the major deities were venerated as women, they were also honored as mothers. This is very important to remember. The founders of the planet Earth recognized that the planets are nourished by the Sun’s energy in the same way a baby is nourished by its mother’s milk. The rotation of the planets around the Sun is simulated even among communal insects where the “queen” is the life-giver of all that is living. The Sun is also the provider of life-giving energy that supports all life on Earth. In previous posts we have discussed that Ishtar is a planetary form of Tiamat. Please review our article 2012 and The Simon Necronomicon. It is here that we also discovered that the word Ishtar finds its origin in the word star. This also reveals to us that during the era of Mother-Sun worship, stars, or suns, were deified as feminine. This is explained in the Babylonian Epic of  Creation, also known as the Enuma Elish. During the next part of our discussion we will be using the Simon Necronomicon’s version of this creation epic. For more information please review our article The Simon necronomicon\’s Version of the Enuma Elish.

Before we begin, I must state that the Enuma Elish can be interpreted in many ways, on an astrological level, changes in spiritual conciousness amongst mankind, and etc.

“When on High the Heavens had not been named,  the Earth had not been named, and Naught existed but the Seas of Absu, The Ancient One, And MUMMU Tiamat, the Ancient One..”

It is interesting that ABSU has been defined as the fresh waters and Tiamat as the salt waters. The ancient people may have looked upon Tiamat as the “salt waters” because it represented the solar aspect while life-giving is also chaotic, and stars cannot be lived on with fleshly bodies. Absu, would then represent the fresh waters or absorbing matter upon which life could grow. In this aspect we can also not that Tiamat would correspond to the Shinto Creator Goddess SU, the source of all things. There is another interesting passage that appears in the Magan Text.

If we look though the first section of the Magan Text we discover that Tiamat is described as the “Queen of the Ghouls.” This further emphasizes Tiamat as a fiery solar force. How so? The term \”ghoul\” is Arabic in origin. For those of you who are familiar with the Batman movies, Raj Al Ghul, would fit the description of a “ghoul” sometimes known as the Jinn. The Jinn are described as a class of living beings that exist in a parallel world that predates that of mankind. They have superhuman power and can appear in various form sometimes resembling snakes, vultures, or tall black men in white garb. it is believed by Muslims that the Jinn were created by Allah from ’smokeless fire.’ They are also known as the fiery ones. Keeping this all in mind, if Tiamat is described as the “Queen of the Ghouls”  in the Magan Text, then it can also be said that she is the “Queen of the fiery Ones.” This means that Tiamat is a fiery source, or a star, Ishtar. Evidently the Race of Watchers are the Jinn, also known to modern man as the GateWalker with a fully developed astral or starry body.

Now if it is believed that our Sun was once a part of the Big Dipper constellation, as mentioned in Gates of the Necronomicon, then Marduk throwing Tiamat into the abyss takes on a new meaning. Yet it would also mean that when Tiamat rises to the stars the world will be one, or consumed by fire. this is something that modern science is now learning.

It is amazing that we have learned a new development in the Necronomicon Tradition and have confirmed some of Lovecraft’s fiction as reality. Ishtar (Venus) is the only planet that rotates clockwise but orbits the Sun counterclockwise. GateWalkers follow the same practice by Walking around the Gate of Initiation clockwise and Walking through the Zodiac, or Gate by Gate, in a pattern that is reverse the direction to that of the Sun. Therefore, we are all Initiated under the banner of Ishtar/Inanna, and by such we are able to draw from the Sun, our Mother what mankind  hasn’t.

The Mother-Son worship in preserved in the Shinto Religion. It appears that the Sumerians were also worshippers of the Great Mother Tiamat, as the Egyptians were when Sehkmet was the Sun Goddess. What I find interesting is that during the Babylonian Period the Sun became associated with Male deities and the Catholic Church has infiltrated every country, that has hosted this sort of religious philosophy with the exception of China. The Biblical book of Revelation tell its adherents to get out of Babylon the Great! This is a reminder to the children of the Sun Goddess not engage in Solar-Phallic worship. All the religions that descended from Babylon have made this association. The religions that associate the Sun with the Goddess predate Babylon, which proves that the Shinto Religion and the culture that it promotes is older than Mesopotamia. In conclusion I would like to quote the words that appear in the Magan Text, as found in the Simon Necronomicon.

“The verses here that follow come from the secret texts of a cult which is all that is left of the Old Path that existed before Babylon was built..”

Warlock Asylum’s Interview With Venus Satanas

Greetings!

I would like to welcome everyone here to the GateWalker’s Info Page. Today, we have a special fuest-Venus Satanist. She is the auther of http://www.spiritualsatanist.com/ I was very happy that she agreed to do an interview, as I thought that it may help our readers learn a new perspective.

Warlock Asylum:  For our readers here on the GateWalker’s Info Page, Who is Venus Satanas? What is your spiritual path? And what links or media have you organized to reach people?

Venus Satanas: See, I found Satanism accidentally when I was browsing the bookshelf in the public library. It was a hardcover edition of the Church of Satan by Blanche Barton that introduced me to some of the LaVeyan perspectives in Satanism. This was in 1992. I created a pact with Satan that same year.

I dedicated myself to Satanism once again, years later after leaving the path
for seven years to work on a failing relationship. In this relationship I had to
give up my practices of Satanism. After seven years I knew that things weren’t
going to work out and it wasn’t the life that I wanted to live anymore.

After I left that relationship, I worked and saved to get my own place. I was
alone and living in a new apartment. To me it was a second chance, my
opportunity to return to Satanism and magic, to finish what I started years ago.
I created a new altar and dedicated my time to studying magic. I saved a black
cat from the shelter (Shadow) to be my familiar.

At my apartment doorstep was a pink rose that took a long time to grow. To me
that rose was a symbol of my new life. It was a symbol of the goddess Venus. At
my own ritual of Magical Naming, I used that rose as an offering to the goddess
Venus. After this, the name ‘Venus Satanas’ became my magical name. I also
rededicated to the path of Satanism, offering my service to Satan once again.

Through this I created my website, spiritualsatanist.com to share my ideas and
experiences with others. It started out as a small collection of articles that
grew over the years into what it is today.

And, in 2007 I created my you tube channel so that I could make educational
videos on Satanism. I also researched the al-jilwah in 2008, and wrote a book in
‘09 called ‘The Al-Jilwah for Satanists’, to expose the origins of this
(supposedly) Satanic document. It is my interest to inform people about my ideas
in Satanism and to debunk the myths that some believe, through education and
resources.

I was also invited to write for the upcoming anthology book, ‘Woman’s Voices in
Magic’, where I described my experience of being a woman on the path of
Satanism. It seems that the majority of Satanists are not women, but I think
this is changing though as more people learn about Satanism.

Warlock Asylum:  How did you discover “spiritual Satanism?” And why Satanism?

Venus Satanas: It was through my experiments in magic and Satanism that I discovered that there really weren’t many good sources for Satanism available. One source did inspire me though and that was Diane Vera’s Theistic Satanism site.

I loved the style of her writings. Her website was easy to understand and full
of common sense advice and excellent research. From reading her writings I began
to understand that there were essentially two types of Satanists out there – the
atheists or symbolic Satanists, and the theists or spiritual Satanists. My
experiences with Satan as a god allowed me to see what I really identified with,
that being a spiritual belief in Satan. So, it was easy to identify with
Theistic Satanism because of my spiritual experiences.

When you ask, ‘Why Satanism?’ – I think that answer would be different for
every Satanist that you ask. Satan represents many things to me, and it is from
these understandings that I have come to have a relationship with Satan as a
god.

My reasons for being a Satanist have changed over the years, but the focus has
always been identification with the qualities of Satan. I suppose that
Satanism allows me to be what I like to identify with, but that would be a
really simple answer to a very complex question.

It is through the experiences that I have had with Satanism that I have seen
Satan as a force that has moved through my life and shaped it in many different
ways. This force has allowed me to achieve what I want in life, mostly through
thoughts, actions, desires, and situations that manifest. I am a very artistic
person and Satanism is a system of spirituality that allows me to be individual,
unique and expressive. Satanism is a benefit to me and my spiritual relationship
with Satan is beneficial as well.

Warlock Asylum: How has this Path helped you?

Venus Satanas: The Path of Satanism has helped me in many ways. In my youth Satanism allowed me to break free from all of the things about life that I believed to be true. It allowed me to stand on my own and to have the courage to be myself. Later on in life, Satanism helped me to help others to find what Satanism is and what it is not.

What really helped me in Satanism was my meeting with nocTifer (nagasiva) in
‘07 in a chat channel. We had so many good discussions on the history of
Satanism. nocTifer is very educated in occultism and his website,
satanservice.org is a huge archive of Satanism that he has collected for many
years.

Through our many discussions he has definitely helped me to shatter some of my
own beliefs that were not necessary, and I am a better person because of this.
My perspectives changed for some very good reasons. It is also because of this
that I have come to know Satan as God of this World, and a god of wild nature!

In Oct. 2008, We created The Horde of Independent Satanists (HISS) to help
independent Satanists with resources and writings on Satanism. Where most
Satanists are generally distrustful of others and battle with each other, I
believe that nocTifer and I are able to work together to manifest something
great for other Satanists.

Warlock Asylum:  What are some things that you feel you still need to explore?

Venus Satanas: Learning never ends, it is an ongoing process. The more that I learn in Satanism and occultism the more I realize that I actually know very little. I suppose that is the idea of spirituality, it is a never-ending mystery. Achieving the
answers isn’t as important to me as discovering the questions.

While standing in line at the store the other day I saw a man with a t-shirt
that said in bold letters ‘The journey is the destination’. I said to myself,
‘yes that’s it! Now that’s the truth.’ Satanism is like that, it’s not a goal to
be achieved it is something that is built along the way through years of study
and understanding and practice.

Warlock Asylum:  What advice would you give to the GateWalking Community and Keepers of the Simon Necronomicon Tradition?

Venus Satanas: I think in my first intro post on the Papers in the Attic blog, I discussed my own experiences and perspectives on the Necronomicon tradition. I will explain here briefly. I do not accept that the Necronomicon or its sources are ancient. However, I do accept that there is some kind of practical use for it as a modern grimoire for modern magic.

From my understanding of the GateWalking method, the closest that I could
compare it to as a magic system is the Chaos magic movement. I think it takes
years of work to make a tradition take hold. If there is something good and
useful that can be gained from it, then that’s great. That’s what makes it work.

But, my advice is this. I know what it is like to be a minority in the occult.
Satanism is in many ways still an underground movement; you have to search into it to find resources and knowledge. The answers aren’t always apparent.

I also know what it is like not to get respect from other occult communities.
Sometimes I wonder why people, who claim to have an open mind, can be so upset
when they are in the presence of a Satanist. I see the anti-satanic propaganda
put forth by Wiccans and pagans. I have seen personally how some in ceremonial
magic have laughed at the ideas of Satanism as if it were a joke. They have many
misconceptions and assumptions. Satanism is very real, and while it is not the
path for everyone, it is something that will appeal to a certain few who
identify with its concepts.

I have also seen another side to my experience in the occult community. It is
through social networking sites and YouTube that I’ve had the opportunity to
reach out to many different kinds of people. I have had people from all paths
write to me and tell me that although they aren’t Satanists they appreciate my
writings and perspectives. This tells me that there is hope, that Satanism can
coexist alongside other kinds of spiritual and occult paths.

So my advice to others who are on a unique and not well known path is this: do
what you love to do because you love to do it, and that’s it.

Jesus Christ is Lucifer Part 2: The GateWalking Avatar

Greetings!

Welcome to the GateWalker’s Info Page. If this is your first time here please review some of our previous articles first, so that you can understand the depths of our present discussion. Readers of this article concerning Jesus Christ, are first advised to read our previous discussion concerning the Christ found under the topic Jesus is Lucifer.

It is evident with one quick google search that many critics of the Simon Necronomicon will accuse Simon of inventing the GateWalking Process of Initiation and further assert that it is not a part of the Ancient Mysteries. However, through a close examination of the gospel account we san come to the realization that jesus was a GateWalker and took the form of his initiation just as it is described in the Simon Necronomicon.

The Simon Necronomicon states that \”INANNA TAKES HER OWN FOR HER OWN.\” This is probably one of the most misunderstood passage in the Necronomicon. What is meant by Inanna taking her own for her own, has a lot to do with initiation. We have discussed this many times on previous pages. The link shown prior, INANNA TAKES HER OWN FOR HER , gives a full meaning as to what this passage remains and how it relates to the starseeds.

Let us now make a comparative study of the gospel accounts and the Simon Necronomicon to show that Jesus also went through the process of GateWalking.

The NANNA Gate = Immacualte Conception.

Luke Chapter 1: 34-38 describes Mary as being a Virgin. This compares greatly with Ishtar (Inanna) who was also described as the Virgin Mother of Tammuz. It is also interesting to note that it is Gabriel who was used to impregnate the Virgin Mary. Gabriel in Judaic Kabbalistic Tradition is considered to be the Angel of Yesod, or what some may call the Sphere of the Moon. In the Qliphotic Tradition, corresponds to Gamaliel, which is ruled by Lilith.

I find that it is no coincidence that the Angel Gabriel is associated with the same Sphere whose Qliphotic correspondence is Lilith, Queen of the Sucubus and Incubus. It is evident that the Angel Gabriel acted in the same manner as an Incubus, but without the ‘dark asthetics.’

The Simon Necronomicon the following about the Nanna Gate:

“The God of the Moon is the God NANNA. He is the Father of the Zonei…and possesses the secret of the tides of blood.”

The Babylonian Tammuz was known to Sumerians as Dumuzi “the only-begotten Son” or “Son of the Blood.”

NEBO Gate = jesus visits temple at 12 years of age

Luke Chapter 2 describes Jesus visit to the temple at the age of 12. Jesus was said to have been in the temple asking the “doctors” questions and listening to them. It is interesting to note that a “doctor” is a mercurial aspect. Enki, in the Sumerian Tradition was associated with Mercury, and is also relative to the medical field. Later, this association was designated to Nebo by the Babylonians. When mary and Joseph finally found Jesus in the temple, he is noted to have said:

was ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”

Here we can also see another correspondence to the Necronomicon Tradition. Jesus was 12 years old at the time he first conducted his Father’s business.’ The Simon Necronomicon mentions the following:

“The number of NEBO is twelve..”

In the INVOCATION OF THE NEBO GATE, Nebo is described as the Master of Chemical Science. This would correspond to what we call a “doctor” today. Also the Mad Arab states in the Book of Entrance that ‘Enki is our Father.

Gates of Ishtar to Adar + Jesus Baptism

We have no Biblical record of Jesus in the years that followed until he reaches the age of 29 1/2 years when he gets baptized. Interestingly, it takes Saturn 29 1/2 years to orbit around the Sun! Before  one Walks the Gate of Adar they must venture into Ganzir, or DAATH as some would call it. Therefore, it is when we reach Adar that we have descended into the foul pit and arise with a new understanding. I find it interesting that Christians show their dedication to their Lord by being submerged underneath the water and then rising up from it and this process must be done with the aid of someone who is already initiated like John the Baptist.

Matthew Chapter 3 covers much concerning Jesus’ baptism. In this account we find that after Jesus was baptized, God’s spirit descended upon them as a dove. Interestingly, a dove was the sacred symbol of Ishtar, It seems that after jesus was baptized by John, he went on to fulfill his work. jesus no longer needed John. This would mean then that John acted in the same manner as the Watcher acts in the initiatory rites of the Simon Necronomicon. While these points may be refuted by some as mere coincidence, the question still remains as to Why would the God of the whole universe use the same symbols in his worship that the “pagan” people who held the Jews in captivity used centuries earlier? I think we all know the answer to that :)
